Valves and pipes
When connecting your Heatnest radiator, it’s important that the valves match your pipes. On this page we explain which pipe sizes are compatible and what you need if your installation uses a different size.
Standard: pipes Ø16 × 2 mm
Our radiator valves are designed for pipes with an outer diameter of 16 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm (Ø16 × 2 mm). If you’re connecting to this type of pipe, everything fits directly.
Do you have copper pipes Ø15 × 2 mm?
Many homes have copper pipes with Ø15 × 2 mm. No problem: you can still connect your radiator easily using a transition adapter. It provides a secure connection between your existing pipe and our valves.
Transition adapter Ø15 × 2 mm → Ø16 × 2 mm
This adapter (fitting) connects a Ø15 × 2 mm pipe to our valves, which are designed for Ø16 × 2 mm. Installation is straightforward and the connection stays leak-free.
Order adapter
The Ø15×2 to Ø16×2 transition adapter is available as a separate product in our shop. Add it to your order if you know you’ll be connecting to Ø15 pipes, or order it separately when you need it.
